As the city breaks down I will look across and smile For a thousand times or more, I’ve seen it die A silhouette of reflections A beating heart of righteous rage Brings us to a point of certain change And it goes And it goes Again You can have the world If you’re gonna pay Though have you got the nerve To fail again and again Those who lead won’t keep you down They may seek acclaim But it’s clear If I win, If I fail In this world Ain’t a damn thing to do with them You can have the world If you’re gonna pay Though have you got the nerve To fail again and again Those who lead won’t keep you down They may seek acclaim But it’s clear If I win, If I fail In this world Ain’t a damn thing to do with them You can have the world If you’re gonna pay Though have you got the nerve To fail again and again Those who lead won’t keep you down They may seek acclaim But it’s clear If I win, If I fail In this world Ain’t a damn thing to do with them

Leave it behind you Stop walking the tightrope Reclaim your future What purpose defines you Take all you have to You need to Believe me All you ever could be Is rushing right past you now Don’t be your own enemy What the hell will be your legacy Ain’t time enough to dwell on sin Don’t let acceptance, suck you in No, no, no, no Cut out All the voices All the actions Not working for you Act free Act simply Act in your best interest Forego your ego Your shackles, release them Construct your own self Not one projected for you Don’t be your own enemy What the hell will be your legacy Ain’t time enough to dwell on sin Don’t let acceptance, suck you in No, no, no, no Don’t be your own enemy What the hell will be your legacy Ain’t time enough to dwell on sin Don’t let acceptance, suck you in No, no, no, no
4.
Out of a hundred, billion dreams What am I doing in this one I’m not prone to seek extremes Why’d you walk into the void Why’d you need redemption You’ve got nothing to prove to me If the world should split in two I’d be on the side with you If the world should break in four We’d belong for evermore On a Sunday afternoon This day has come too soon Save the song that seeks the sky Stops your soul from sinking Simple sparks will serenade The cornerstone of broken deeds Lies within bad intent Let it never be your way If the world should split in two I’d be on the side with you If the world should break in four We’d belong for evermore On a Sunday afternoon This day has come too soon If the world should split in two I’d be on the side with you If the world should break in four We’d belong for evermore On a Sunday Afternoon This day has come too soon If the world should split in two I’d be on the side with you If the world should break in four We’d belong for evermore If the world should split in eight I’d wouldn’t need to hesitate If we’re blown to smithereens Then we‘d all become lost dreams

End Game 05:38
As the sun rises For one last time One time for sole reflection What became of our lives You’ll fly forever Through Day and Night Your dreams before you Will never ever die As we reach the end game As we near our time Don’t let fear sweep over Just learn to free your mind So take me with you To paradise Away from conflict Away from these times
6.
It’s a quarter to midnight At the death of the day As I ease into slumber It’s all slipping away I can’t take any comfort Not today Ohhhhh This aching pain now Still holding on It’s all a game now That I can’t play I need one day other than this It’s a quarter to one now At the height of the day And I’m looking to nowhere I’ve got nothing to say I can’t take any comfort Not today Ohhhhh This aching pain now Still holding on It’s all a game now That I can’t play I need one day other than this I can’t take any comfort Not today Ohhhhh This aching pain now Still holding on It’s all a game now That I can’t play I need one day other than this It’s a minute to six now Not sure where it’s gone Just echoed around me Silence too long
7.
Turning over now And I’m looking to the past But what to choose I just can’t relax Taking time Yea too much slack It will soon be over You can’t bring it back A new delusion of false design Now forge a path For a state of you And those other fools Ain’t got a clue Strong as you Need to be It’s simple now Just what to keep A new delusion of false design A new delusion of false design If the best of times will come Stop praying for the sun A new delusion of false design A new delusion of false design If the best of times will come Stop praying for the sun
8.
So I’m looking out There’s no ground below There’s no truth behind So away we go Bridges burned Cast aside Frees you from Those you can’t abide Take your time Don’t ever forget Not in this world, or the next We are justified We are hooked on lines And the fears you had Never realised In my life I just can’t explain What I did Or what did I gain Take your time Don’t ever forget Not in this world, or the next I’ve given more than I can take How much longer should I have to wait There’s time to come, there’s time to try You give your all, but is it right Alright Take your time Don’t ever forget Not in this world, or the next We may walk alone But we’ll go so far There’ll be hell to pay Gonna hit the stars Falling down Can’t get up Days just go So long, so long Take your time Don’t ever forget Not in this world, or the next Not in this world, or the next Not in this world, or the next
9.
You had a taste of what you needed Then threw it all away Ran down a dark and dirty alleyway What’s left to take Shifting through the city On a hot and humid night Something moving in the shadows And paranoia strikes I found a thousand beams of intrigue Shining through my soul Indecision cost me plenty But you know it gave me more I walked into the distance Can’t settle for the past I stride into the desert Away from grasping hands
10.
Calling all you seekers The dreams beneath your eyes A thousand miles won’t walk away The longing deep inside Though you may be stuck, your gone In your mind, you’re in the sea Or walking high on alpine paths The air it lets you see Winding along dusty tracks As the sun is beating down Drinking in some ancient bar In an old forgotten town You’ll never know Again Calling all you seekers The places yet to go The majesty of wanderlust Forever taking hold Though you may be thinking when This time will ever end The vista far afield remains The rifts we feel will mend We’ll stroll along the promenade We’ll laugh, we’ll fight, we’ll cry The time we spend apart right now Will cease to be a figment of our lives, our lives Though you may be stuck, your gone In your mind, you’re in the sea Or walking high on alpine paths The air it lets you see Winding along dusty tracks As the sun is beating down Drinking in some ancient bar In an old forgotten town You’ll never know Again
11.
Sweeping echoes of my time The morning aches with no design Bringing whole another life From what, from where, the sacrifice In the night time I’m inspired And I just can’t settle On fire And this fever burns inside Burns inside Reaching out, there’s nothing there Hiding something, hidden stare Taking thoughts of what you know Leaves you open, when it blows In the night time I’m inspired And I just can’t settle On fire And this fever burns inside Burns inside In the night time I’m inspired And I just can’t settle On fire And this fever burns inside Burns inside In the night time I’m inspired And I just can’t settle On fire And this fever burns inside Burns inside

Do you know what’s it’s like? To have a demon strip your soul Well I know There’s a hole And it’s dragging me in I don’t know if I can fight much more I keep tripping up Gonna lay down low There’s a part that I’ve got to play now I can’t stop this darkness of my whole It keeps surging on Been a year since I’ve had some rest now Oh I tried, but the night just won’t let hold This pressure burns Oh let me go Got a screaming in my soul now Got a screaming in my soul now Got a screaming in my soul now Got a screaming in my soul now My soul All the songs that are trapped in my head All the words that are lost in some black hole I wish I could know How to bring them home Got a screaming in my soul now Got a screaming in my soul now Got a screaming in my soul now Come on Got a screaming in my soul now Got a screaming in my soul now Got a screaming in my soul now Got a screaming in my soul now Got a screaming in my soul now Got a screaming in my soul now Got a screaming in my soul now Got a screaming in my soul now Got a screaming in my soul now Got a screaming in my soul now Got a screaming in my soul now Got a screaming in my soul now Got a screaming in my soul now My soul My soul My soul My soul Oh Come on

about

Debut album from That Hidden Promise.
Exploring what it is to be in these times, through the joys, the frustrations, the anger, injustice and how do we even know what our place is in this world anymore. From the blistering "You Can Have The World" to the blissed out pre-apocalyptic "End Game" venturing through the longing of "Calling All You Seekers" into the bouncing "Not In This World (or the next)". This is a collection, which doesn't rest or depend on one formula, or mood and truly takes you on a journey into the musical mind of That Hidden Promise

This album was entirely self-produced between March-May 2020.
